Yes We Can

I never intended to be a political blogger. That’s good, because I suck at it. Good political commentators can say more than, “Gah.” And their heads don’t explode when someone says, “Sarah Palin.” Or maybe they explode a little bit but their filters keep it from rushing out their mouths.

Ahem.

Here we are, three weeks before the election. Yesterday the DJIA closed up over 900 points. Bush’s approval rating is in the toilet. The gap is widening between Obama and McCain, but not enough to ensure victory. These will be a long 21 days ahead of us I am sure.

Here is a little boy though that brought joy to my cold, grey heart.

hat tip: MOMocrats, per usual.

I am so with you. Talking politics sucks the life out of me. But I forced myself yesterday while my college-educated parents (my dad has a PhD in physics) tried to tell me that Barack Obama is a Muslim extremist and Sarah Palin is a very smart, together lady. Thank you FOX News.

I keep telling myself that that were trying to mess with me. Messing with me or not, they are not voting Obama/Biden.

I’m with you, all I can say is “Gaaaack!” when I try to be political. But McSame Caribou Barbie really scare me. It just baffles me how people can take her seriously! But then again, I always saw through the fakes in high school and college way before anyone else.

I’ve never been one to talk politics, but I’m finding it hard to keep my mouth shut as I see McCain/Palin signs popping up in my friend’s yards. Normally, when it comes to politics, I keep my opinions to myself, but now I can’t help but ask, “Do you know what you’re voting for?” I fear that they don’t really know.
