Pledged delegates are those won through caucuses and primaries. Superdelegates are party officials that have guaranteed seats at the convention. Hillary’s high number of Superdelegates going into Super Tuesday looks to me, the untrained eye, to have one of two possibilities: that party officials pledged with conviction, so it doesn’t matter that they did it so early or pledged who they thought would win so they could be right all along. The cynic in me thinks its the latter.
